Jupiter Edge+ puts its 50% shopping Jewels behind a ₹15,000 cycle spend from 10 October 2026
From 10 October 2026 the Edge+ CSB Bank RuPay card pays its full 50% Jewels on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and other listed shopping merchants only when qualified statement-cycle spend is greater than ₹15,000. Below that, shopping earns 5%, the same as every other spend, and the held-back 45% is cancelled.
The Edge+ CSB Bank RuPay card from Jupiter built its following on one line: 50% Jewels on shopping at the big online stores, with no annual fee. From 10 October 2026 that rate comes with a condition, and light spenders lose almost all of it.
What changes on 10 October
Jupiter's own Edge and Edge+ terms now show two versions of the Shopping category, one running until 9 October and one from 10 October:
| Shopping category | Until 9 October 2026 | From 10 October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Qualified cycle spend greater than ₹15,000 | 50% Jewels | 50% Jewels |
| Qualified cycle spend of ₹15,000 or less | 50% Jewels | 5% Jewels |
The mechanics matter. From 10 October, 5% Jewels post instantly on each eligible shopping transaction. The remaining 45% is credited at the end of the billing cycle, and only if your total qualified spend for that cycle is greater than ₹15,000. If it is not, the terms say the remaining Jewels are automatically cancelled.
Two details in the wording:
- "Greater than" ₹15,000. Spending exactly ₹15,000 in a cycle does not qualify. Aim for a margin above it.
- The threshold counts total qualified spend, not just shopping. Other eligible spends on the card help you cross it, but only spends Jupiter treats as qualified.
What stays the same
Per the same terms, these are unchanged:
- Eligible merchants: Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Tata Cliq, Ajio, Nykaa, Croma, Reliance Digital, Trent Retail / Tata Retail and Reliance Retail.
- Caps, per statement cycle: 10,000 Jewels for the Shopping category, 3,000 Jewels per merchant, and 1,000 Jewels per transaction.
- Other categories: 25% Jewels on Jupiter Flights (capped at 5,000 Jewels a cycle) and 5% Jewels on other spends.
- Jewel value: 1 Jewel = ₹0.20 when redeemed for Jupiter Flights, the Jupiter Store, brand vouchers or digital gold.
- No annual fee.
The change applies to Edge+ CSB Bank RuPay only. Jupiter's terms list the Edge CSB Bank RuPay and Visa variants separately, and the 15,000 condition is written against Edge+.
Who loses
If most months you put a few thousand rupees of Amazon or Flipkart orders on Edge+ and little else, your shopping earn drops to a tenth of what it was, because 5% is one tenth of 50%. That is exactly the user this card used to suit best.
If you already spend well over ₹15,000 a cycle on the card, nothing changes except that the bulk of your shopping Jewels now arrives at cycle end rather than instantly. The 10,000 Jewel category cap still limits heavy shoppers either way.
What to do
- Check your last three statements. If your qualified cycle spend was comfortably above ₹15,000, keep using the card as before.
- If you sit near the line, routing a regular bill onto Edge+ may be enough to cross it, but only if that spend counts as qualified under Jupiter's terms. Do not assume UPI or bill payments qualify without checking.
- If you are well under it, a flat online cashback card may now pay you more for the same orders.
