Tata Neu HDFC cards stop auto-crediting NeuCoins from 25 November 2026: claim them within 12 months or lose them
From 25 November 2026, NeuCoins earned on Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus HDFC cards no longer reach your Tata Neu account on their own. The primary cardholder has to claim them in the app within 12 months of the statement date.

HDFC Bank's Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus card pages now carry the same new rule. From 25 November 2026, NeuCoins earned on card spends "will no longer be automatically credited" to your Tata Neu Membership Account. You have to claim them. Every figure below comes from those two HDFC pages.
HDFC's note is about how coins reach you, not how many you earn. The practical change is that coins you forget about can now expire before they ever reach your account.
Before and after
| Statements before 25 Nov 2026 | From 25 Nov 2026 | |
|---|---|---|
| How coins arrive | Credited automatically within 7 working days of the statement | Primary cardholder claims them in the Tata Neu app |
| Deadline to claim | Not applicable | 12 months from the statement date, then they expire |
| Validity once credited | 12 months from the end of the month of credit | A further 12 months. HDFC's example: credited 15 Dec 2026, valid until 31 Dec 2027 |
HDFC's worked example: coins from a statement generated on 15 December 2026 become claimable by 22 December 2026, and can be claimed until 14 December 2027. If they are not claimed by then, they expire.
There is a small upside if you are organised. The claim window and the validity window run one after the other, so coins can last longer in total than they do today. The catch is that the first window is only useful if you remember to act.
The claim rules
- Who: only the primary cardholder, logged in with the bank-registered mobile number.
- Where: Tata Neu app, NeuCard section, "Claim NeuCoins".
- Minimum: 100 NeuCoins per claim, though HDFC says this may be revised downward.
- Limit: up to 3 successful claims a day.
- Credit time: up to 7 working days to reach your Tata Neu Membership Account.
- Exceptions: coins from special promotions and welcome benefits keep the terms and expiry told to you when they were issued.
Redemption itself does not change. Once credited, 1 NeuCoin is still worth ₹1 at eligible Tata brands.
What to do
- Set a recurring reminder. A claim every few months keeps you clear of the 12-month deadline.
- Watch small balances. With a 100-coin minimum, a low-spend card can sit below the claim line for a while. Check it before the deadline, not on it.
- Add-on card in the family? Only the primary cardholder can claim, so the person who holds the primary card has to do this.
- Coins already in your account are not affected. Statements before 25 November follow the old process, and the 12-month validity from the month of credit still applies to them.
