Citi ThankYou adds Copa ConnectMiles: 1:1 on premium cards, 1,000:700 on no-fee cards
Since 25 October 2026, Citi ThankYou points transfer to Copa Airlines' ConnectMiles. Strata Elite, Strata Premier and Prestige points move 1:1; Double Cash, Custom Cash and other no-annual-fee cards get 700 miles per 1,000 points.

Citi added Copa Airlines ConnectMiles to its ThankYou transfer partners on 25 October 2026, with no announcement; Frequent Miler spotted it first. Doctor of Credit and Upgraded Points report the same two ratios and the same date. We could not find the change on a Citi page we can read without logging in, so the ratios below come from those three outlets.

This is the same split Citi uses for most partners: the full 1:1 rate is reserved for points held on an annual-fee card. If you hold both a no-fee card and an annual-fee card, the usual move is to combine points onto the annual-fee card before transferring, so you get 1,000 miles instead of 700.
Why Copa is worth knowing about
Copa is a Star Alliance member based in Panama City. Until now, the main ways into ConnectMiles were flying Copa, buying miles, Rove Miles at 1:1 and Marriott Bonvoy at 3:1, per Upgraded Points. A mainstream US bank currency is new.
Frequent Miler points to the program's best uses:
- Emirates awards with no fuel surcharges. Many programs pass Emirates' surcharges on to you; Copa does not, per Frequent Miler.
- A free stopover and two open jaws on round-trip awards, which lets one ticket cover more than one destination.
Award space is the usual catch. A reader on Frequent Miler reports that Copa's own flights show no more availability to ConnectMiles members than to partner programs, so check space before you move anything.
Before you transfer
- Transfers are one way. Points left in ThankYou keep every other partner open.
- Find the award first, then transfer exactly what you need.
- Watch for bonuses. Citi is currently running a separate 10% bonus to Cathay Pacific Asia Miles; there is no Copa bonus at launch.

Equitas Small Finance Bank's PowerMiles credit card has reportedly switched on its first points transfer partner, Air India Maharaja Club, at 1:1 through the Xchange Rewards portal, after more than a year of delays. The other announced airline and hotel partners are not live yet.
