Equitas PowerMiles reportedly adds Air India Maharaja Club as its first transfer partner
Equitas Small Finance Bank's PowerMiles credit card has reportedly switched on its first points transfer partner, Air India Maharaja Club, at 1:1 through the Xchange Rewards portal, after more than a year of delays. The other announced airline and hotel partners are not live yet.
The Equitas PowerMiles card was sold on the promise of transferable points, and for more than a year it had none. That has reportedly changed: as first noted by Live From A Lounge on 23 October 2026, and reported the same day by CardInsider, Air India Maharaja Club now shows up as a live transfer partner. We have not seen an Equitas announcement, so treat this as reported until the bank confirms it.
What is reportedly live
| Detail | |
|---|---|
| Partner | Air India Maharaja Club |
| Ratio | 1:1 (1 reward point to 1 Maharaja Club point), per both outlets |
| Where | The Xchange Rewards portal |
| Speed | Not instant: Live From A Lounge started a transfer and had not seen it complete at the time of writing |
| Minimum, fee | Not stated by either outlet |
The long road here
Live From A Lounge counts several missed dates for the transfer programme, from its original promotion in early 2025 through promised starts on 1 January 2026, 1 July 2026 and September 2026. Air India is the first partner to actually appear.
What is still not live
Both outlets say the rest of the announced list is still pending, with CardInsider pointing to March 2027 for the remaining partners. Live From A Lounge lists them as British Airways Executive Club, United MileagePlus, Finnair Plus, Air Canada Aeroplan, Etihad Guest, Thai Royal Orchid Plus, AirAsia Rewards and JAL Mileage Bank on the airline side, and IHG One Rewards and Wyndham Rewards on the hotel side. Do not plan a redemption around any of them until it shows as a transfer option in the portal.
What to do
- Test with a small transfer first and wait for it to post before moving a large balance.
- Price the award before you transfer. Points in an airline account cannot come back, and Maharaja Club redemptions vary a lot by route and date.
- Compare against the alternatives. Several Indian cards already transfer to Air India and other airlines today.
